0.3 News Part 2


0.3 is going to be delayed. I initially planned for it to release on Halloween but I've decided to fix a major problem with my game sooner rather than later. The problem I'm addressing is the endgame. The endgame is the supposed to be the twist from horror games or other games that involve hunting the player; You can kill the Assassin.  After activating all levers, a gun would spawn on the map and you'd have to find it. And the assassin hardly reacts and walks to the exit. In fact, it would be easy to just follow him there.

Now the endgame is much different. And split into two phases.

  1. SEARCH PHASE
    1. You have one minute to find the gun.
    2. Who knows what happens if you fail.
  2. FIGHT PHASE
    1. You have 5 minutes to kill the assassin and escape
    2. Regardless of whether the assassin is alive or dead. The exit will spawn when one minute is left
      1. Killing the assassin earlier spawns the exit immediately
    3. The gun has limited ammo and base mag size of 3
      1. The gun has a short cooldown
      2. The gun has been re-sprited
    4. Ammo will spawn on the map in randomly
      1. No more than 30 pickups can be on screen at once
    5. There will be misc. perks that effect the endgame including
      1. mag size increases
      2. damage increases to the gun

I'm still polishing things up, hopefully the update will be ready for release soon. I want to make the game more friendly to new players. For example, the menu controls were not explained in-game. I had forgotten to add proper ways to show the controls. Now the menus are fully mouse controlled.  Anyway, subscribe to my channel and keep it casual.
